Eyeball, parabola, atom: it’s Erik Nitsche’s Atoms for Peace, 1955, MOMA
Anyone listening to Resonance 104.4 FM during Sept / Oct on Monday evenings at 6.15 (in 2019) would have heard my radio series, Melissa McCarthy’s View from a Shark. Just as Alistair Cooke spent the 20th Century sending back his letters from America, dissecting and analysing that nation, so too do I send in my reports about the creatures. Teeth, the liver, kidneys, the womb, the eyes – all the component parts of sharks, mixed up and re-brewed into a disquisition on mythology, soothsayers, coming home, cannibalism, photography.
Ep 1, on Teeth, is here.
